Starting The Year Right

LEARNING HUMILITY

“Humble yourselves therefore,

  under God’s mighty hand,

that He may lift you up in due time.”

                               1 Peter 5:6

LEARNING TO COMFORT OTHERS

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; He has appointed me

to preach Good News to the poor; He has sent me to

heal the brokenhearted and to announce that captives

shall be released and the blind shall ee, that the downtrodden

shall be freed from their oppressors, and that God is ready to

give blessings to all who come to Him.”

God’s Faithfulness

Great is your love for me, your compassions never fail me.  They are new every morning.  Great is your faithfulness!!  Lamentations 3:22-23

Things are getting far from where it used to be.

Is there something I do not know, Lord?

Please reveal it to me…

Help me to understand your will

And accept where you want me to be.

Life is not fair, Lord show me the way.

I am ready to face the life you have for me.

I want to be home and be free!!!

When we start to count flowers,

    we cease to count weeds.

When we start to coount blessings,

    we cease to count needs.

When we start to count laughter,

     we cease to count  tears.

When we start to count memories,

     we cease to count years.

May our Lord Jesus Christ encourage your hearts

and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Who is like You?

Who is like You, O blessed Trinity?

Who was, and is and will be united in your great love.

Who is like You, O God-Man Jesus?

Who stayed on earth among mankind.

Who is like You, O God -man Jesus?

Who suffered and died on the Cross.

Who is like You, O God-man Jesus?

Who redeemed humanity, because of your great love.

Who is like You, O God-man Jesus

Who stayed three days in the tomb, but rose on the third day.

Who is like you, O risen Christ

Who went home to GOd, Your Father, the head of the blessed Trinity.

Who is like You, O risen Lord

Who sits on the throne and intercedes for us.

Who is like You, O risen Lord

Who sent the Holy Spirit as our guide, comforter and teacher.

Who is like You, O risen Lord

Who will return and establish Your kingdom on earth.

Who is like You, O blessed Trinity

Who shared and will share Your great love with humanity.

Jesus Love

Jesus love is real

Jesus love is really real

It’s not a fairytale

Jesus love is true

And if you know Him

You know that He loves you.

Safe with God

It’s warm and comfortable here, God,

      nestled under Your wings,

                 next to your side,

wrapped in the safety of Your arms.

       Here I catch my breath,

            and am restored.

Here I gather strength from You

to face the world another day.

       Here I gain Your wisdom

to guide me as I venture

          into the unknown.

Because I am completely known by You,

I can come and go in perfect safety.

      I hear You whisper in my ear;

                  ever ready

                   to enfold

       and shelter me once more.

The Reality of My Savior

He’s the Peace beyond confusion, the Love beyond the hate.

He’s the Certain Rock of Safety where the waters rise of late.

He’s the Melody of Sweetness!—the Never-changing Song.

He’s the Bedrock of My Soul when all else has gone wrong.

Though torrents swirl about me and I fear I may go down,

He’s the Refuge of the Broken; hope in Him is solid ground.

He’s the Guide of my behavior when I seem to lose my way.

The reality of my Savior is all I know today.
